What Is the Co-ordination Assessment?
The Ball & Rudder test is a psychomotor assessment that measures your ability to keep a ball centred on a tilting plate. The plate responds to your control inputs — you must make smooth, coordinated corrections to prevent the ball from rolling off-centre.
This test is widely used across airline cadet selection programmes because it directly measures the fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination required for flying an aircraft. Your performance is tracked over time, and your learning curve is measured to assess how quickly you adapt to the controls.

How It Works
Demo Phase
2-minute practice round to familiarise yourself with the controls and plate mechanics. Scores are recorded but used only for learning measurement.
Real Test
2-minute scored assessment. Your accuracy is tracked in 10-second intervals and compared against the demo to calculate your learning curve.
