The portal opens on a cohort summary: seats used, candidates who have completed everything, who is in progress, who has not started, and the cohort's average Sten.
Candidates
Every candidate with their exam day, a status for each module, the latest Sten and band, a PDF and a reset button.
Exam days
Create batches by date, move candidates between them and filter the list by day.
Activity log
A record of resets and other changes, with who and why, so nothing happens without a trace.
The candidate's side
- A dashboard lists the modules assigned to the candidate, how many attempts are used and how many days remain.
- A test in progress shows a Resume button with the time left, instead of an attempt lost to a refresh.
- Maths, Physics and Cognitive are timed from the server and saved as the candidate goes.
- Each finished module produces a PDF report with Sten scores, colour bands and graphs.
- Co-ordination and MATS results record the test version they were taken on.
Questions
Do candidates need to install anything?
No. The tests run in a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer.
Can a school see who is sitting a test right now?
Yes. The portal marks a candidate as sitting now while their test page is reporting in, and as started but not finished if they have stopped.
What happens if a candidate's computer fails during a test?
Maths, Physics and Cognitive resume from the saved paper. For Co-ordination and MATS, your team can see the candidate stopped and decides whether to reset the module.
